God, You inspired St. Charbel, a monk and hermit, immensely holy and honored among Your saints, to live and die on the path of Jesus Christ, and gave him the strength to withdraw from the world and to achieve the pinnacle of monastic virtues in his desert dwelling: poverty, obedience, and chastity.

We fervently pray that you also grant us the grace

to love You as he loved You according to his example

and to serve You as he served You.
