Chatolic statue of sleeping St. Joseph made of marble powder, measuring 7×20 cm. The statue depicts St. Joseph sleeping, photographed in the study of Pope Francis by a Latin American bishop.

Pope Francis spoke for the first time about his dedication to Saint Joseph on January 16, 2015 to the families gathered in the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, in particular about his habit of slipping under the statue of the saint, slips of paper containing problems, requests for pardons, and prayers of the faithful.

Furthermore, Pope Francis confided that the statue of St. Joseph is in a drawer of the desk of his study in Casa Santa Marta. St Joseph is depicted with green and red robes, with some gold trimmings. The Saint Joseph statue is made of a mixture of local marble poeder, hand painted by a Bosnian company in Medjugorje.
